The Black Bookshelf Project is turning five, and we're throwing a party!
Join us at California Pizza Kitchen in Windermere on Sunday, August 9, 2026 for a three hour celebration of community. Every guest will be provided with their own hardcover copy of Bodies Are Cool by Tyler Feder, a joyful picture book about bodies of every shape, size, and shade. Over the course of the afternoon we'll bedazzle our copies together: rhinestones, gems, glitter, and whatever else your imagination calls for.
All supplies are included and yours to take home, so you can keep decorating your book long after the last slice of pizza is gone. There's no wrong way to do it, and no finish line.

A full set of bedazzling supplies (rhinestones, gems, adhesive, and more), yours to keep
Three hours of guided crafting and celebration

Food and drink: Food and beverages are available for purchase from the CPK menu throughout the event. Come hungry and support the restaurant that's hosting us.
Please note: Space is limited, so one ticket is required per attendee, including any adults joining a young crafter. Every ticket comes with its own book and supply kit, and tickets must be purchased in advance so we can have a kit ready for everyone. All sales are final. Tickets are transferable, so if you can't make it, pass yours along to a friend and let us know the new guest's name.
